State Police Investigate Suspicious Death Ruled a Homicide

On 02/23/11 at 1:10 P.M. the Plymouth Police Department received a 911 call. The caller reported the discovery of a deceased male subject in a wooded area of town on Lane Hill Rd. in Terryville.  Responding Plymouth officers arrived and confirmed the death to be suspicious.  The wooded area was secured and the State Police Western District Major Crime Squad responded to the scene to investigate this incident.  Initial examination of the scene by State Police Detectives confirmed the suspicious death of a male subject. 

A post mortem examination of the deceased was conducted by the Office of the Chief State Medical examiner today, 02/24/11, and the cause of death has been ruled blunt force trauma and the death is ruled a homicide.   The deceased is identified as DYLAN SHERMAN DOB: 5/14/91 LKA 315 Summer St. Bristol, Ct.

The State Police Western District Major Crime Squad is continuing the investigation and being assisted by the Plymouth, Bristol, and Watertown Police Departments.

Today 2/24/11 at approximately 1:30 p.m. State Police Detectives took into custody two subjects in relation to this criminal investigation. Both subjects were located at their home in Waterbury and taken into custody without incident. They were both transported to Troop L in Litchfield where they were processed and are being held on bond.

ARRESTED:  #1 GUERRERA, Michael A.  DOB 11/14/90

                         #2 GUERRERA, Dennis  DOB 11/29/89

                         2531 East Main St

                         Waterbury, Ct.

CHARGES:  Assault 2nd

                       Unlawful Restraint 1st

                       Conspiracy to Commit Assault 2nd

Both accused are being held on $500,000 bond each and will appear in Superior Court GA #17 Bristol on 02/24/11.

State Police Detectives have developed additional information in this case and are actively pursuing this information.
