State Police Make Pornography Arrest

During the months of March through October in 2010, the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit was involved in a criminal investigation into child pornography distribution, importation and possession in the town of Wolcott CT.

On November 24, 2010, the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit, assisted by the Wolcott Police Department, executed a search and seizure warrant at a private home located at 24 Lone Oak Avenue, in Wolcott CT.

During the execution of the Search Warrant, several items of evidence were seized and transported to the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes and Electronic Evidence Laboratory for further investigative examination.

The analysis of the seized evidence and the criminal investigation determined that an arrest warrant should be sought for the arrest of Anthony J Tomasiello for crimes related to child pornography. An arrest warrant application was submitted by the investigating Trooper to Superior Court G.A.# 04 in Waterbury.  The arrest warrant was issued by the court.

Today 01/19/2011 the accused Tomasiello turned himself in to State Police at Troop-I, in Bethany at approximately 0930 hrs.  He was formally charged,  processed and released on a $40,000 bond to appear in Superior Court G.A. #04 Waterbury on 02/02/2011.
