Connecticut State Police Make Computer Crimes Arrest
The Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit was conducting an online, undercover investigation. A State Police Detective posing as a 15 year old girl became involved in a chat room where the chat by the accused turned to sexual explicit chats between a State Police Detective posing as a 15 year old female and the accused in this case. The accused requested and set up a meeting with the Trooper posing as a 15 year old.
On June 8, 2011, the accused, Toufic Batouli, traveled to a pre-determined location in Farmington, Ct. with who he believed to be the 15 year old female for sexual relations. Upon arrival he was taken into custody without incident by State Police personnel assisted by the Farmington Police Officers.
Accused BATOULI was transported to Troop H Hartford where he was processed and then released on a $50,000 bond. He will appear at GA #14 Hartford Superior Court on June 22, 2011.
