State Troopers Seek Public's Assistance
On Sunday 6/20/2010 at approximately 10:30pm, State Police Troop C-Tolland received a report of an armed robbery at the Gibbs gas station located on Rt. 32 in Mansfield near the Willimantic town line.  Troopers from Troop C and the Mansfield Resident State Troopers Office responded to the incident and secured the scene.  A search for the suspect was initiated.  All area police agencies were notified of the robbery and given a description of the suspect. 

Troopers determined from witnesses that the suspect fled on foot and was last seen running towards Willimantic on Rt. 32 after taking an unknown amount of cash from the store.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20’s with blue eyes.  The suspect was last seen wearing a black ski mask, black long sleeve shirt, blue wind pants, black sneakers or shoes, and was seen brandishing a knife.  No one was injured during this robbery.

The State Police investigation into this robbery is continuing.  Troopers have developed some details and leads in this case. 

Troopers are also asking anyone who may have seen the suspect in the area of Gibbs gas station, or who has information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the Connecticut State Police Troop C in Tolland at (860)896-3200.
