On 06/27/10, the Connecticut State Police, Central District Major Crime Squad Detectives at Troop F conducted a sexual assault/risk of injury to a minor investigation into a complaint made by a father of a 14 year old female victim.
In the investigation it was learned that 39 year old, Henry T. Collin, of 40 Broad Place in Bristol, CT was involved in a sexual relationship with the 14 year old female Victim. That the sexual assault had occurred on Collin’s boat, which is docked at a Marina on Railroad Avenue in Chester, CT.
Detectives determined during the investigation facts and information that caused them to submit an arrest warrant application to Superior court for the arrest of the accused in this case. On 07/09/10, the Middletown Superior Court, (GA #9) issued an arrest warrant for the accused Henry Collin, DOB 07/06/70, 40 Broad Place Bristol, Ct. The accused was charged with of the crimes of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree, 53a-71 and Risk of Injury to a Minor, 53-21.
On 07/12/10, at 1:20 p.m., Accused Collin was taken into custody at Troop F in Westbrook. Accused Collin was processed and released after posting a $50,000.00 non-surety bond The accused will be arraigned at GA #9, Middletown on 07/26/10.
