STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE

INTERRUPTED HOME BURGLARY

   Today, 02/24/2010, shortly after 11:15 a.m., the Connecticut State Police at Troop D in Danielson received a 911 emergency call from a private home located on Westford Road in Eastford CT.  The caller/victim reported to State Police that she had just interrupted a burglary at her home.

    

   Troopers from Troop D responded to the Eastford residence. The victim stated she was on a treadmill in the house when she heard footsteps. The victim went to investigate and she confronted 2 male suspects. The suspects ordered the victim to lie on floor. The victim was not injured during this burglary. The two suspects took several itemsfrom the home and fled out front door.

   The two suspects ran to a small four-door dark faded or dull gray sedan similar to a Ford Escort type vehicle. The suspects are described as approximately 20 years old,wearing dark clothes and their faces were covered during this incident.

   Troopers searched the area for the suspects and their vehicle.  All area police agencies were advised of this incident. State Police Major Crime Detectives responded to process the crime scene and assist in this investigation.

  

   State Police are asking anyone in the area that may have seen anything suspicious to contact State Police Troop D at (860) 779-4900. All calls will be kept confidential.
