               STATE POLICE MAKE ARRESTS IN MURDER INVESTIGATION

   During the early morning hours of Sunday, June 22, 2008, the Connecticut State Police began the investigations of the discoveries of two bodies on shoulders of on-ramps to I-384 in Manchester and Bolton

   At approximately 5 a.m., a motorist reported the discovery of a body on the shoulder of the Exit 4 (Highland Street) westbound on-ramp of I-384 in Manchester. At approximately 7 a.m., a different motorist reported the discovery of a body on the shoulder of exit 5 (Bolton Center Road) westbound on-ramp of I-384 in Bolton. State Police Detectives from the Eastern District (Bolton incident) and the Central District (Manchester) Major Crime Squads conducted the criminal investigations into both deaths.  

   The victim discovered in Manchester was identified as:  
      
Ronald Brown, age 42, d.o.b. 08/21/1965

      last known address- 275 Sonstrum Road, Bristol, CT

      Cause of death: Gunshot wound    

   The victim discovered in Bolton was identified as:

      Eric T. Kimberley, age 37, d.o.b. 03/04/1971

      last known address- 279 Wintrop Street, Torrington, CT

      Cause of death: Traumatic blunt force  

   On 06/24/08, State Police Detectives arrested an accused for these two murders.

ARRESTED:    BRYANT, Jokshan, age 29, 11/06/1978

                        48 Putnam Street,  Apartment #1New Britain, CT

CHARGES:     Murder, 2  Counts

BOND:            $5,000,000.

COURT:          The accused was presented in Superior Court G.A. 17

                        in Bristol on 6/24/08.

   The State Police murder investigations continued with Detectives working to develop additional information and leads. The investigation has led State Police Detectives to develop and submit six arrest warrant applications for additional arrests in this murder case.

   Arrest warrants were issued by the court for the six accused and on 01/13/09 into the early morning hours of 01/14/09, State Police Detectives located and took the following accused into custody without incident. 

ARRESTED #1    Steven Manocchio  DOB: 10/3/66

                           6 Andres St., Bristol Ct.

CHARGES:         Murder (2 cts) 53a – 54a

                         Conspiracy to commit murder 53a-48 / 53a-54a

                         Hindering Prosecution (2 cts) 2nd 53a-166

                         Tampering with physical evidence (2 cts) 53a – 155

                         Conspiracy to Hinder Prosecution 53a – 48 / 53a-166

                         Conspiracy to Tamper with Evidence 53a – 48 / 53a – 155

BOND: $1,000,000

ARRESTED #2    Michael Bondi  DOB: 7/10/68

                          893 First Ave, West Haven,CT.

CHARGES:        Conspiracy to Tamper with Evidence 53a – 48 / 53a – 155

                         Conspiracy to Hinder Prosecution 2nd 53a – 48 / 53a-166

BOND: $500,000

Bondi will be arraigned at GA #15, New Britain, today, Jan. 14, 2009

ARRESTED #3    Jason Protinick  DOB: 12/6/76

                          48 Homeside Ave, West Haven, CT.

CHARGES:        Conspiracy to Tamper with Evidence 53a – 48 / 53a – 155

                         Conspiracy to Hinder Prosecution 2nd 53a – 48 / 53a-166

BOND: $500,000

Protinick will be arraigned at GA #15, New Britain, today, Jan. 14, 2009

ARRESTED #4    Tammy J. Marin DOB: 3/1/68

                          9 Conlon St, Bristol CT.

CHARGES:        Tampering with physical evidence (2 cts) 53a – 155

                         Hindering Prosecution 2nd (2 cts) 53a-166

                         Conspiracy to Tamper with Evidence 53a – 48 / 53a – 155

                         Conspiracy to Hinder Prosecution 2nd 53a – 48 / 53a-166

BOND:  $250,000

ARRESTED #5    Susanne G. Wallace DOB: 8/8/74

                          6 Andrews St, Bristol CT.

CHARGES:        Tampering with physical evidence (3 cts) 53a – 155

                         Hindering Prosecution 2nd (3 cts) 53a-166

                         Conspiracy to Hinder Prosecution 2nd 53a – 48 / 53a-166

                         Conspiracy to Tamper with Evidence 53a – 48 / 53a – 155 

BOND:  $500,000

   All of the 5 accused were transported to Troop H in Hartford, where they were processed and held on bond. Manocchio, Marin and Wallace will be transported to Superior Court GA #17 in Bristol for arraignment today, Jan. 14, 2009. Bondi and Protinick will be arraigned in GA #15, New Britain today, Jan. 14, 2009.

   One additional arrest warrant is not yet served, as one additional accused is incarcerated in the State of Florida for Florida charges. Once released from Florida custody, the accused will be returned back to the State of Connecticut to be arrested for charges related to this case. 

   

   The State Police investigation continues.
