STATE POLICE SEEKING PUBLIC'S HELP IN IDENTIFYING SUSPECT

    On August 26, 2008, a State Trooper was assigned to investigate a burglary into a motor vehicle at the Exit 74 Commuter Parking Lot in East Lyme, CT.  The burglary occurred during the early morning hours of August 25.  During the investigation, it was discovered that the suspect smashed a window and stole two credit cards from a vehicle. 

   Investigation revealed that the stolen credit cards were used at two separate gas stations in New London on the evening of August 25. Investigation also revealed that the suspect used the credit cards during the early morning hours at a Wal-Mart store in Waterford to make illegal purchases.

   With that information and with the cooperation of the retail stores, the Trooper was able to obtain surveillance photographs of a male suspect.

   The suspect who used the stolen credit card is described as a white male, late 20s-ealy 30s, approximately 5’6”, 150 lbs, balding with light brown or blonde hair on the sides.  The suspect was a operating a gray newer-style sedan.
