STATE POLICE MAKE SECOND ARREST IN BRIBERY CASE
ARRESTED: ALI, Helmi W/M D.O.B 07/30/59, Age: 49
62 Pope Street, New Haven, CT
CHARGES: Bribery C.G.S. 53a-147
Forgery 2nd Degree C.G.S. 53a-139
BOND: $5,000 Non-Surety
On 2/18/09 the State Police Central District Major Crime Squad served an arrest warrant on the accused after an investigation into an allegation that fraudulent documents were submitted to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection in an attempt to obtain an occupational license.
The Department of Consumer Protection reported to State Police that on 12/04/2008 the accused had submitted what appeared to be a forged score-sheet and a $75.00 licensing fee to Consumer Protection in order to obtain an electricians license. A criminal investigation was initiated by State Police Detectives into this incident.
State Police Detectives examined the documents and obtained investigative information that determined that the accused had bribed an examination proctor, who in turn issued him a fraudulent passing score-sheet. The exam proctor was employed by a private company which had been contracted by the state of
State Police Detectives submitted an arrest warrant application to Superior Court for the arrest of the accused. The warrant was issued and today, shortly after 3:00 p.m., the accused turned himself into State Police Detectives at Troop H in

ACCUSED: Kyle Hennig (D.O.B. 09/24/81)
The criminal investigation revealed that an applicant bribed accused Hennig, who at that time was an examination proctor employed by a private company that had been contracted by the state to administer exams.
