STATE POLICE MAKE ARRESTS AND CONTINUE TO

INVESTIGATE DISTURBANCE

On 08/30/09 at approximately 12:30 a.m. State Police Troop A in Southbury received 911 calls from neighbors reporting that a disturbance was taking place at a residence located at 426 Roosevelt Drive, Oxford.  The callers also reported that they heard gun shots from that location.

Troopers responded to the scene where Gregg Dojnia  dob 10/15/1988 of 122 Lewis Street Naugatuck and his brother Kyle Dojnia dob7/29/90 of 179 Scott Street Naugatuck were both taken into custody. Both accused were arrested for creating a disturbance at 426 Roosevelt Drive. Both accused were transported to Griffin Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

They were both charged with Disorderly Conduct and released on a 500.00 non surety bond.  Both are to appear at Derby Superior Court on Monday 08/31/2009.

During the investigation witnesses related they heard distinct gunshots during the altercation. A search warrant was prepared to conduct a search of the residence.  State Police Western District Major Crime Detectives conducted a search at the residence and seized weapons.

This investigation is continuing.
