STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE
FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT I
On Saturday 06/13/09 at approximately 1:30 a.m. West Haven Police Department requested officer assistance from area towns (police agencies) to help at a scene of a disturbance in their community.
Milford Police assigned patrol officers to assist.
Shortly after 2:15 a.m. a Milford Officer that was assigned to the
The Milford Officer was unable to avoid collision and struck the vehicle.
Orange Emergency Medical Services (E.M.S.) and Fire Service responded to the scene. The two occupants of the privately owned vehicle were seriously injured. A female occupant was extricated from the vehicle. She was transported by E.M.S. to St. Raphael’s Emergency Room where she was pronounced deceased. The second occupant of that vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Milford Police Officer sustained non-life threatening injury and was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital Emergency Room with non-life threatening injury.
The Orange Police Chief has requested that the Connecticut State Police respond to conduct the investigation into this accident. The State Police Accident Reconstruction Squad and State Police Accident investigators have responded to the scene to conduct the investigation.

The Milford Officer is identified as Officer Jason Anderson.
The accident remains under investigation.
