STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE DEATH IN
On 01/02/09, at approximately 11:00 p.m., State Police Major Crime Detectives were requested to respond to a restaurant parking lot in
Upon arrival of State Police Central District Major Crime Squad Detectives to the scene, they learned that an altercation had taken place in the parking lot of the River Restaurant located at
Upon arrival, the Derby Officer observed a violent altercation between the deceased and two males subjects. The deceased was handcuffed by the Derby Officer and suddenly exhibited signed of medical distress. Emergency Care was provided and
The deceased has been identified as JAMES THIERINGER Jr.,DOB:1/12/65,
State Police Detectives worked through the night, documented and examined the scene, and gathered all physical and forensic evidence. In addition, numerous witnesses were interviewed to determine the facts and circumstances of this incident.
State Police Detectives are seeking all witnesses who may have seen anything in the parking lot or any part of this incident. Witnesses are asked to contact State Police at Troop-I (203) 393-4200. All calls will be kept confidential.
The State Police investigation is continuing.
