                         SUSPICIOUS DEATH INVESTIGATION IN UNCASVILLE

Today 03/26/06 shortly after 10:00 a.m. State Police Troop-E received a 911 call reporting an unconscious male was found in the yard of 55 Poly lane in Uncasville, CT.  State Police and EMS personnel responded to the scene.

EMS pronounced the male deceased at the scene. The area was secured as a crime scene by the responding State Troopers.  The State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad responded to document the scene, collect any evidence and investigate the untimely death of the male subject.

The Office of the Chief State Medical examiner will conduct a post mortem examination of the deceased to determine the manner and cause of death.   The identity of the deceased male is being withheld at this time to allow for the notification of next of kin.

The initial reports of explosions and fire at the scene of this incident were unsubstantiated. The preliminary examination by State Police Detectives showed no signs of fire or explosion. The Detectives will examine the scene and attempt to answer all questions surrounding what took place at this scene.

The investigation is continuing.
