                            STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE ESCAPE
                            FROM CUSTODY OF TWO PRISONERS 
                       WHO WALKED AWAY FROM HALFWAY HOUSE                                                                                                                                       

     On Friday 06/09/06 two female prisoners assigned by the Department of Corrections to a halfway house in Willimantic walked away from that facility at about 7:00 p.m. Both inmates were believed to be on foot and were last seen on Valley Street in Willimantic CT.

     Connecticut State Police Troopers and Willimantic Police Officers responded to the area and conducted a search for both escapees with negative results.

     All Law Enforcement authorities were notified of the escape with a physical description of both females.

ESCAPEE #1 - GOMEZ, Debra          DOB: 2/12/73   CAPTURED 06/13/2006*

                          LKA 619 Enfield St 

                           Enfield, CT.

                           Hispanic female-  5’6”  270 lbs,   Brown hair,  Blue eyes 

ESCAPEE#2    GALLICHIO, Kathy    DOB: 01/07/59   CAPTURED 06/13/2006*

                           LKA 417 South Main St

                           Colchester, CT.

                           White female, 5’8”  130lbs, Brown hair, Blue eyes

   Both inmates were serving time for Larceny 6^th convictions.

   *Both subjects have been captured and charged with Escape and presented at

G.A. 11 in  Danielson.
