Crime In Connecticut Annual Reports

Connecticut General Statute § 29-1(c) established the state-wide uniform crime reporting system and from that, the annual publication of Crime in Connecticut, which began in 1978. This report continues to be Connecticut’s most comprehensive compilation of crime data as it provides detailed information on criminal offenses and arrests statewide. This publication is derived from crimes brought to the attention of law enforcement agencies and reported to the Crimes Analysis Unit. The objective is to produce reliable facts and figures that are useful to law enforcement administration, operations, and management. These reports are also used by criminal justice professionals, legislators, scholars, and others concerned with crime for research, planning, and reporting purposes.
