RAIN, SNOW AND WIND HAS COME TO AN END. WE ARE CONTINUING TO MONITOR RIVER AND STREAM CONDITIONS THROUGHOUT THE STATE. THE MAJORITY OF THE RIVERS WILL STAY BELOW MODERATE FLOOD STAGE.

Flood watches and wind advisories are no longer in effect for Connecticut. A Flood Warning for the Yantic River remains in effect.

The heaviest rain has come to an end with periods of light to moderate rain expected to continue through the morning hours. Rainfall totals thus far range from over 5” in North Haven, Middletown, Milford and Moosup to 2” of rain in the northwest corner.

The Yantic River in Norwich crested around 8:30am at 10FT. This resulted in a moderate flood stage though stayed below major flood stage. The river will recede throughout the day and is expected to be out of flood stage by 7:00 PM.

The Housatonic River at Falls Village and Gaylordsville is expected to reach minor flood stage with a crest expected on Tuesday.

The Quinebaug River at Jewett City is expected to reach minor flood stage with a crest expected at 7am on Tuesday.

The Connecticut River at Hartford and Middletown is expected to reach minor flood stage with a crest expected Wednesday morning.
