Connecticut Extreme Heat Emergency Management Procedure
When temperatures are anticipated to be extremely hot, the Governor's office in consultation with state emergency management officials may chose to activate Connecticut's Hot Weather Protocol. The Extreme Hot Weather Protocol directs staff from the state’s Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) to coordinate with 2-1-1 and each local municipality to open cooling centers and provide information on there whereabouts to the public.
