(HARTFORD, CT) - Commissioner Michelle Gilman's statement on the passage of Senate Bill 984:
“DAS applauds the passage of Senate Bill 984, An Act Accelerating the State Hiring Process. This bill assists in modernizing the hiring process, allowing the State of Connecticut to remain competitive in attracting and retaining top-tier talent. S.B. 984 also equips state agencies with an additional set of tools that, when used, will help save critical time when filling vacancies.
As a Governor’s bill, the passage of this legislation is a testament to the strong collaboration of all of our state agencies, SEBAC, and the legislature.”
The legislation now heads to the Governor for signature.
