New DAS Solicitation Notice Regarding Trade Labor Services
The Department of Administrative Services is working to increase the awareness of the New Solicitation Notice regarding Trade Labor Services
Legislation allows DAS for projects costing $1.5 million or less and administered by the department, to establish:
(1) A list of preapproved contractors for these projects and
(2) A separate list for the purpose of using small contractors and minority business enterprises for certain projects. The Trade Labor Services will be the centralized contract to support this new change with qualified pre-approved contractors.
The eligibility of the contract has been broadened and SBE certification is not required. While S/MBE’s is not a requirement to participate in solicitation. Encourage all S/MBE’s to participate.
