Vincent Plymell

Vincent Plymell is the Assistant Commissioner for Communications & Outreach for the Colorado Division of Insurance, part of the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). He has been with the Division since 2013. In this role, he acts as the Division's public information officer (PIO), issuing news releases and consumer advisories, while managing media inquiries and interview requests. He also works to educate consumers about insurance, using targeted consumer information, as well as the Division's website and social media efforts.

In the aftermath of Colorado's Marshall Fire in 2021, he also coordinated various efforts around recovery and insurance for the Division.

Before joining the Division of Insurance in 2012, Vincent spent 10 years managing communications for the State’s Employee Benefits Team, coordinating open enrollment outreach and year-round messaging regarding benefits such as medical, dental and life insurance.
