Governor Ned Lamont today announced the creation of the Connecticut Workforce Development Unit – a state office that will be responsible for developing workforce policy, utilizing data to set a vision for the workforce pipeline, and coordinating the state’s workforce ecosystem around a common strategy and set of goals.

Governor Lamont Makes Supreme and Appellate Court Appointments
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he is appointing Appellate Court Judge Christine E. Keller to serve on the Connecticut Supreme Court. An Appellate Court judge and resident of Hartford, Judge Keller will fill the vacancy created when Justice Richard Palmer reached the mandatory age of retirement in May.

Governor Lamont Directs Flags Lowered to Half-Staff in Honor of U.S. Representative John Lewis
Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he is directing U.S. and state flags in Connecticut to be lowered to half-staff as a mark of respect for the memory and longstanding public service of U.S. Representative John Lewis of Atlanta, Georgia, beginning immediately until sunset on the date of interment, which has not yet been determined.
