State Police Detectives Make Two Arrests after AR-15 Stolen from State Police Cruiser
On March 8, 2016 at approximately 4:50 a.m., a Connecticut State Trooper reported that his assigned state police cruiser, another Connecticut State Trooper's assigned state police cruiser, and a personal vehicle were broken into during the overnight hours while parked in the driveway of a Milford residence.

Milford Police Department responded to the area and learned that several other vehicles in the neighborhood were also broken into.

Amongst other items, a Connecticut State Police AR-15 rifle with two (2) fully loaded magazine and a CSP issued bulletproof vest were stolen. Detectives from Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime (CDMC) responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.

After a very lengthy and extensive investigation in conjunction with the New Haven Police Department Criminal Intelligence Unit, the ATF, and the FBI Safe Streets Gang Task Force, the Connecticut State Police CDMC developed a suspect, Travis D. Ingram, and secured a total of seven (7) firearms and larceny related felony arrest warrants from the Milford and New Haven Superior Courts for four (4) separate individuals for offenses that occurred in both New Haven and Milford.

The AR-15 rifle, two (2) magazines, and bulletproof vest were recovered soon after they were stolen.

On July 5, 2016 at approximately 4:40 p.m., state police detectives from CDMC, the ATF, and the New Haven Police Department Criminal Intelligence Unit located Ingram in North Haven and took him into custody. Ingram was transported to Troop I-Bethany where he was fingerprinted, photographed and held on bond pending his court date.

There are five (5) pending arrests scheduled for within the next few weeks for three (3) other suspects who were involved. All are currently incarcerated in the Connecticut Department of Corrections system.
