State Police Investigate Fatal Bicycle Accident
On 10/03/2011 at approximately 5:00 p.m. State Police Troop C in Tolland received a report of a child on a bicycle struck by a motor vehicle in the Town of Somers.
State Troopers and Somers Police Officers arrived on the scene and located the 8 year old victim. The victim was identified as Aidin-Paul Hannan (dob 7/21/03) of Somers, Ct. Aidin was transported to Baystate Medical Center via Lifestar due to a severe head injury.
Aidin-Paul was pronounced deceased at Baystate Medical Center. A post mortem examination will be conducted by the Massachusetts Office of the Chief State’s Medical Examiner to determine the manner and cause of death.
At this time Troopers are continuing to determine the circumstances of this accident.
This case remains under investigation.
