THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY ENFORCEMENT

Connecticut State Troopers supplement normal patrol force with additional State Troopers over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.

Troopers patrol all roads and highways across Connecticut and will focus on drunk driving violations and target aggressive drivers.

Sobriety checkpoints and targeted DUI patrols will be in place over the entire weekend. State Police will continue this preventive enforcement effort until the end of the Holiday season.  

These State Police stats cover the time period starting at midnight on 11/24/10 to 11/28/10 9:00 p.m.

Troopers responded to 10530 calls for service so far during this holiday weekend.  Calls for service are an indicator of how busy Troopers were both on the highways and in the communities that Troopers serve.
