STATE POLICE NINE (9) ARRESTS AND SEIZE DRUGS

IN NEW HAVEN/WEST HAVEN INVESTIGATION

On 01/21/2010 at 5:00 am, the State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force assisted by New Haven Tactical Narcotics Unit executed three (3) search and seizure warrants in New Haven and two (2) search and seizure warrants in West Haven. This extensive narcotics investigation stemmed from information received by Statewide Narcotics Detectives into illegal narcotics trafficking in the New Haven area. The investigation identified a large illegal narcotics distribution network. Undercover Narcotics Detectives developed information that led to Search and Seizure Warrants being applied for and obtained from Superior Court.

The execution of the search warrants today resulted with the seizure of 1.15 kilograms of “Crack” cocaine with an approximate street value of $223,000.00 and 270 grams of Marijuana packaged for sale with an approximate street value of $3,000.00. Also recovered were; a fully loaded 9mm firearm and a .357Revolver, illegal Body armor and ammunition and $4,224 in cash and other illegal narcotics contraband. Two vehicles were also seized as a result of this investigation. A total of 9 arrests were made and three children were referred to DCF.

Arrested: All of the arrested will appear in New Haven Court, GA-23, on 1-22-10.  All of the accused are being held on bond.
