STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST FOR FIREARM & EXPLOSIVES POSSESSION

   Pursuant to the criminal investigation that resulted in an arrest of the accused on 04/22/10 Connecticut State Police Detectives continued their investigation.

   As a result of information developed in this case State Police Detectives applied to Superior Court for a search and seizure warrant to conduct a search of the accused home located at 227 Taconic Rd in Salisbury, Connecticut.

   On 04/15/10 Troopers executed the search warrant. During the search of the residence Troopers located a weapon and other contraband inside of the home. These items were seized and Troopers then submitted an arrest warrant to Superior Court for the arrest of the accused. The arrest warrant was issued on 4/22/10.

   Accused Kimmel was arrested by Troopers on 04/23/10 at Troop L in Litchfield. He was processed and held on $250,000 bond.  KIMMEL will be arraigned today 04/23/10 in GA #18 Bantam Superior Court.
