UPDATE
On Sunday 06/27/2010 at 12:52 p.m., State Police Troop-L Litchfield received a 911 report indicating that a white male was observed, unresponsive and laying in Moulthrop Brook near 354 Bantam Road in Litchfield,CT. State Troopers and EMS personnel responded and located a male who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The area was secured by Troopers and State Police Western District Major Crime Squad Detectives responded to this scene to conduct an investigation into this death. Detectives collected physical and forensic evidence at this scene and several witnesses were interviewed. Detectives have made a tentative identification but are withholding that information pending positive identification being made and next of kin being advised.
The Office of the Chief State Medical Examiner conducted a post mortem examination of the deceased. The death appears accidental pending further studies.
The deceased has been tentatively identified as ANDREW PIKE DOB: 06/06/71 354 Bantam Rd. Litchfield, Ct.
The State Police Western District Major Crime Squad is continuing this investigation.
