Arrest Made In 1998 Homicide

On 9-1-10 at 10:00 a.m., the Connecticut State Police Detectives assigned to the Eastern District Major Crime Squad and the State’s Attorney Southeastern Cold Case Unit arrested Dickie Anderson Jr. on the charge of murder in connection with the 1998 death of victim Michelle Comeau  (DOB 11-16-1968) in the Town of Franklin, Connecticut.

Witnesses discovered Comeau’s body dumped along an access road to the Norwich Industrial Park near Dodd Stadium in 1998.  An autopsy was performed by the Office of The Chief Medical Examiner and her death was ruled a homicide.

Accused Anderson had been incarcerated since his arrest on June 1, 2010 in connection with the 1997 murder of Rene Pellegrino in the Town of Waterford.

The accused Anderson was identified in the Pellegrino murder investigation through a DNA database match made by scientists from the State Police Forensic Science laboratory in Meriden.

Today 09/01/10 at approximately 10:00 a.m. Anderson was formally arrested on this most recent homicide investigation.  He is being held on a one million dollar bond and will be arraigned in JD London on 09/01/10.
