STATE POLICE STATEWIDE NARCOTICS TASK FORCE

& NEW HAVEN POLICE

EXECUTE SEARCH AND SEIZURE WARRANT IN NEW HAVEN 

   Today 05/28/09 shortly after 2:30 P.M. Detectives assigned to the Statewide Narcotics Task Force and New Haven Narcotics Detectives arrived at 548 Woodward Ave in New Haven to execute a search and seizure warrant.

   Detectives have been working an undercover narcotics investigation for a period of well over a month.  During the investigation information was developed of a possible lab located in the Woodward Ave. residence.  A search and seizure warrant application was submitted to Superior Court. The search warrant was issued by the court.  

   Upon entry into the home Narcotics Detectives did locate a significant clandestine lab. Numerous Chemicals, propane tanks and a liquid believed to be DMT was discovered by detectives.

   Investigators determined that the accused were using this Clandestine Lab to process what is believed to be a hallucinogenic drug known as DIMCTHYLTRPTAMINE  (Dy-METHAL-TRIPAMINE)

   This drug is know on the street as DMT---THE 45  MINUTE PSYCHOSIS—BUSINESSMAN'S LSD—

   Three accused were taken into custody at the scene. ID and charges to follow.

The DEA is responding to assist in the lab clean up.

   State Police and New Haven Detectives are continuing the investigation into this lab operation.
