State Police Investigate Larceny At Library In New Hartford

On 08/05/09 at approximately 4:30 pm, Troop B, in North Canaan received a complaint of a Larceny at the Bakerville Library, at 6 Maple Hollow Road, in the town of New Hartford.  The investigation revealed that two females entered the library at about 3:30 pm, on the above date and distracted a Library employee, while the other stole her wallet. Shortly after the theft, the victim’s credit cards were utilized in Burlington.  There have been similar reports in neighboring communities.  This investigation is active and ongoing.

The suspects are described as:

1.      A black female, approximately 5’1”, 105 lbs, in mid 20’s

2.      A black female, approximately 5’8”, 180 lbs., with a pony tail and yellow dress

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Troop B in North Canaan at 860-824-2500 or the New Hartford Resident Trooper Office at 860-379-8621.
