On Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at about 8:22 a.m. Connecticut State Police Troop L in Litchfield and Troop B in North Canaan received a "Be on the Lookout" notification (BOLO) from the New York State Police regarding a vehicle possibly involved in a suspicious death incident they were investigating in Sharon Springs, New York, that occurred on November 16, 2009.

The BOLO identified Gerry Allen King DOB: 04/04/1972 as being wanted for questioning in this incident, and that he was reporting operating a blue van with New York registration plates.
