         STATE POLICE STATEWIDE NARCOTICS TASK FORCE AND
           WATERBURY POLICE SEIZE 35 POUNDS OF MARIJUANA

   State Police Statewide Narcotics Detectives initiated andconducted an extensive long-term narcotics investigation into the trafficking of marijuana in the greater Waterbury area  As a result of facts uncovered in this criminal case, SNTF Detectives applied to Superior Court for a Search and Seizure warrant to search the residence located at 28 Goss Street in Waterbury.

   On Tuesday, 8/5/08, in the late afternoon, SNTF Detectives - assisted by Waterbury Police detectives - executed the search warrant at the residence located at 28 Goss Street, Waterbury. Detectives seized during this raid 35 pounds of marijuana and the three accused were taken into custody at the scene. The estimated street value of this marijuana seizure is $70,000.

   ARRESTED:    SOTO, Omar  DOB: 10/26/77

                     7 Goss St., Waterbury

                      ROSADO, Denny  DOB: 3/10/88
                      7 Goss St., Waterbury

                      MUNIZ, Daniel  DOB:2/6/86

                      165 N. Elm St., Waterbury

   All three accused were charged with the following:

   CHARGES:     Possession of Marijuana

                      Possession of Marijuana within 1500 ft of school

                      Conspiracy to Possess over 1 Kilo of Marijuana

   All three accused were transported to State Police, Troop A in Southbury, where they were processed and released on $10,000 bond to appear in Superior Court GA #4 Waterbury on 08/20/08.
