                 STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE BANK ROBBERY IN DURHAM

   On Friday, June 20, 2008, at approximately 09:04 a.m., a bank robbery was reported at the Citizen Bank located at 367 Rte. 17 in Durham, CT.  State Troopers from Troop F, Westbrook, responded to the scene and searched the area for the suspect.  State Police Central District Major Crime Squad Detectives also responded to the scene to undertake the bank robbery investigation.

    Initial information based on witness accounts reveal that a perpetrator entered the bank, approached a teller and handed the teller a note indicating that he was robbing the bank.

No weapon was displayed at the time of the bank robbery. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from the bank. 

   The suspect fled the bank in an unknown direction.

    The suspect is described as follows:

  • white male, possibly in his 50’s or 60's
  • wearing dark blue shirt
  • dark color baseball cap with white logo
  • wearing glasses
  • grayish color pants
