ARRESTS MADE IN STABBING INCIDENT EAST LYME

   On Tuesday morning March 18, 2008 at approximately 1 a.m. Troopers and local police officers responded to the scene of a disturbance in the driveway of private residence on Ocean Ave., in the town of East Lyme.

   Upon the arrival of the police a victim of an assault was located at a private residence. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene to tend to the victim who was suffering from apparent stab wounds. Subsequently the victim was transported to L & M Hospital in New London, CT.

   Troopers and Officers on the scene were able to gather information from the victim and witnesses in regards to the incident. Investigators were able to determine that a fight had occurred between the male victim vs. a male and female. During the course of the investigation State Police Detectives were able to locate and apprehend the male and female suspects.

   Based on witness information and other information gathered during the investigation State Police Detectives were able to determine that the victim male and suspect male were engaged in a physical altercation. During the course of this altercation the female suspect assaulted the victim by stabbing the victim numerous times in the back.
