      STATE POLICE MAKE CHILD PORNOGRAPHY ARREST

                       

   On January 25, 2008 the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit concluded a several month criminal investigation into a subject that had uploaded numerous images of child pornography to an Internet website. The investigation resulted in a search warrant being obtained from Superior Court and the warrant being served at the subject’s residence at the time, 60 Lealand Street in Bridgeport, CT. During the execution of the warrant several computer related items were seized.

   The evidence was examined in the Computer Crime Laboratory and the examination revealed numerous images and videos of child pornography contained within the evidence seized from the residence. Further investigation and assistance of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children lead to an arrest warrant being obtained.

   On January 25, 2008 the accused was taken into custody when he surrendered at Troop G in Bridgeport. The subject was processed and released on a $50,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Bridgeport Superior Court GA #2 on February 7, 2008.
