                           **UPDATE - MISSING MAN LOCATED          

           STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE MISSING PERSON REPORT                

      On 01/30/07 at 6:45 a.m. State Police Casino Unit received a report that an 85 year old man was missing from the Foxwoods Casino in Ledyard, CT.  The complainant his niece stated that she last saw her Uncle at about 3 p.m. on 01/29/07 as he was exiting the bingo hall. The niece reported the matter to Foxwoods Security who initiated a search for him in the facility. 

      This morning when State Police were notified of this incident State Police initiated  a missing person investigation.  State Police K-9 teams responded to begin a K-9 track.   Additional State Troopers and Fire Department manpower also responded to assist in the search effort.

      State Police Troopers interviewed witnesses, reviewed security tapes and are conducting  physical search of the area.

      The missing man is identified as WALTER MATYCZYNSKI  DOB:6/10/23 a former resident of Michigan and now is residing in Leicester, Ma. He is 5’8” 210 lbs was last seen wearing tan pants, blue jacket and a blue Irish cap.  MATYCZYNSKI is suffering from dementia and has medical issues. It is also reported that he walks with a slight limp (left Leg)

** During the course of this investigation State Police Detectives discovered that Mr. Matyczynski took a bus from Foxwoods headed to Worcester MA. The search for Mr. Matyczynski moved from the Foxwoods area to Worcester, MA.

   Mr. Matyczynski was located in Worcester early this afternoon by the authorities in that area. Mr. Matyczynski was taken to a local medical center for precautionary reasons.

This case has no criminal aspect therefore this investigation will be closed.
