                             MAKE ARREST IN I-91 ENFIELD STABBING

         On 01/29/07 at approximately 8:25 p.m. Connecticut State Police Troop-H in Hartford received a 911 call reporting an accident with injury had just occurred on I-91 s/b near Exit #48/Elm Street in Enfield. Connecticut State Troopers and Enfield EMS responded to the crash site. EMS personnel determined the injured male had suffered apparent stab wounds. Emergency care was provided and the male was transported to Bay State Medical Center in Springfield MA. He is reported to be in serious condition.

         Responding Connecticut State Troopers secured the crime scene and vehicle interviewed the victim and witnesses at the scene.  It was determined that the victim was stabbed while traveling in his vehicle southbound on I-91. He reported that he was stabbed by a male and female who ran from the area after the vehicle crashed on I-91. A physical description of the two fleeing subjects was provided to all surrounding police departments. The male was described, as a white male wearing a black jacket and black hat and no information was available on the female.

         Connecticut State Police K-9 Teams searched for male and female suspects and evidence in this case.   State Police Major Crime Detectives initiated a criminal investigation into this stabbing incident. After extensive investigation Connecticut State Police Detectives developed information as to a possible identity of the two suspects and began an extensive search.

         Today, 02/02/07, State Police located a vehicle in Barkhamsted that was related to the two suspects being sought. Troopers conducted a search of the area for the two suspects and at approximately 4:30 p.m. Connecticut State Police Detectives located both suspects in Winsted. They were both taken into custody without incident. Both suspects were transported to Troop- H in Hartford. State Police Detectives determined that this stabbing took place in the State of Massachusetts. Massachusetts State Police were contacted, responded and obtained arrest warrants in Massachusetts for both the accused. Connecticut State Police placed both under arrest for Massachusetts State Police as fugitives.

ACCUSED #1 LEVESQUE, Michael  DOB: 6/22/90 8 Ridge Rd. Bristol, CT.  LEVESQUE is charged as a Fugitive From Justice and is being held on $1 million bond. He will be presented in Superior Court Hartford GA #14 on 2/5/07

ACCUSED #2 is a Juvenile female who is being held at juvenile detention in Hartford.

This investigation is continuing.
