   On May 05, 2007, Edward Bassett was arrested at his residence, 94 Winsted Road in Torrington by members of the State Police Computer Crimes and Electronic Evidence Laboratory in reference to a warrant for the above listed charges.  This arrest comes as a result of a multi-year investigation into Bassett’s downloading child pornography from the Internet and his posting of the images back out to a Yahoo group.  When seized, Bassett’s computer systems contained numerous still images of child pornography.

   Edward E. Bassett was held on a $30,000 bond and arraigned at Bantam Superior court GA #18 at 180 Doyle Road, Bantam CT.
