                          STATE POLICE MOTOR VEHICLE FRAUD INVESTIGATIVE

                                                   TASK FORCE MAKE ARREST

   Today, 08/06/07, shortly after 7:45 a.m., the accused, Maurice Little, of West Hazel St., New Haven, CT, was arrested by the State Police Motor Vehicle Fraud Investigative Task Force.  This arrest is part of the ongoing criminal investigation into corruption at the Bridgeport Office of the Department of Motor Vehicles. 

   The accused LITTLE’S arrest was connected to his actions while acting as a “middleman.” It is alleged that the accused brought customers to the Bridgeport Motor Vehicle Office of the DMV to fraudulently obtain CT Driver’s Licenses.

   Accused Little is the husband of a former DMV Employee.

ARRESTED:     LITTLE, Maurice    DOB: 5/4/66

                     West Hazel St.

                     New Haven, Ct.

CHARGES: 1 count under the Corrupt Organization Racketeering Activities Act (C.O.R.A.) in violation of:

               C.G.S.  53-395;

               16 counts of Conspiracy to Commit Bribery in violation of C.G.S 53a-48/53a-147;

               16 counts of Conspiracy to Commit Forgery II in violation of C.G.S. 53a-48/53a-139. 

    Accused LITTLE was transported to Troop G in Bridgeport where he was processed and released on a $250,000 court set bond. Accused LITTLE will appear at G.A. #2 in Bridgeport for arraignment on 08/21/07.
