CONNECTICUT STATE POLICE NEW HAVEN INITIATIVE TASK FORCE

 EXECUTES SEARCH SEIZURES WARRANTS; SEVERAL ARRESTS MADE

   In an effort to address quality of life issues in two separate locations within the city of New Haven the State Police New Haven Initiative Task Force which is comprised of State Troopers and New Haven Police Officers continues to actively conducted drug dealing investigations. On 05/22/07 search and seizure warrants were executed which resulted in the seizure of narcotics and the arrest of several persons.

·    The investigation of the sale of illegal drugs lead to a search warrant being executed at 75 Reed Street in New Haven. At that location, Detectives assigned to this task force located and seized crack cocaine and seized $197.

Arrested at this location was: 

Felicia Wright,  age 34,   d.o.b. 08/12/1972, 75 Reed St. , New Haven

Charges: possession of narcotics

              possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school

          Held on a $50,000 bond; to be arraigned at G.A. 23 New Haven today

·    A second search warrant was executed at 884 Whalley Ave., apartment #2 in New Haven. At this location, detectives located and seized 230 glassine bags of heroin, 1 gram of cocaine and $358.

Patrick Rogers, age 45, DOB 06/19/1962        

      bond $100,000 arraigned at G.A 23 today

Victor Cherenzi, age 21, DOB 06/23/1985      

      bond $100,000 arraigned at G.A 23 today

James Mimms, age 25, DOB 04/22/1981        

      bond $200,000 arraigned at G.A 23 today

Youthful offender,   age 17                                  

      bond $100,000 arraigned at G.A 23 today

Youthful offender,   age16                                   

       bond $100,000 arraigned at G.A 23 today

Charges:Possession of narcotics

             Possession of narcotics with intent to sell

             Possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of school

   Rogers was also wanted on a Failure to Appear, 1^st degree warrant.
