ARMED ROBBERY

McDONALD’S RESTAURANT IN DAYVILLE, CT

    On June 14, 2007, at 8:57 p.m., the Manager at McDonald’s Restaurant 1075 North Main Street Dayville, Ct. reported to the Connecticut State Police at Troop D that the restaurant was just robbed. Troopers responded to the restaurant. Investigation revealed that a white male subject entered the restaurant asking to make a complaint. When approached by the manager, the subject implied he had a firearm and escorted the manager to the office area. The subject then demanded cash from the manager. The subject fled from the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The restaurant was occupied with customers at the time.

    Troopers conducted an extensive search for the subject using a K-9 Unit but were unable to locate him. Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad were called in to investigate the incident and process the scene. The suspect is described as a white male, about 30 years of age, 5’10” tall, slender build, wearing a grey hooded zippered type sweatshirt, dark baseball cap, blue jeans, sneakers and had a bandage or white medical tape on his nose. This subject may be driving an older model silver or grey compact 2 door car.
