STATE POLICE LOOKING FOR ASSISTANCE

IN MISSING PERSON CASE

FROM JULY 2005

On July 30th, 2006 it will be one year since Bonnie Lewis Thayer age 65 of Prospect, CT was report as a Missing Person.  She was last seen operating her vehicle (a 1993 white  Mercury Cougar with a black cloth top and silver trim and a silver luggage rack on the trunk bearing

CT registration 516 ETT) leaving a friend's residence in Torrington on

July 30th, 2005. 

At the time of her disappearance she was experiencing medical conditions. She left no note or gave no indication to anyone that she was intending to leave her family.  Her vehicle has not been located and her family has heard nothing from her since she went missing. She has two adult children that reside out-of-state.

Attempts to develop positive leads in this case have been unsuccessful thus far. Earlier on in this investigation there was one reported possible sighting of her in New Milford but efforts to locate Thayer in that area were unsuccessful.

Bonnie Thayer is listed on a national missing persons website NCMA (National Center for Missing Adults)and remains listed as a missing person and her vehicle is listed as a vehicle of interest on the national police system NCIC (National Crime Information Center). 

The Connecticut State Police is asking for the assistance of the media to widely publicize her information and photos as the one year anniversary of her disappearance approaches.

Detectives from the State police Major Crime Squad believe that Thayer is possibly still be in Connecticut. Attached is the original MP flyer with a photo of Thayer and her vehicle and an additional photograph (see attached).
