                     CONNECTICUT MAN ARRESTED IN ILLINOIS

   On 07/19/06 the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Lab was contacted by the Alsip Illinois Police Department regarding an accused that was in custody in their jurisdiction. The individual identified as Mark Singleton (DOB 11/02/77) resides at 319 Marion Avenue in Plantsville, CT.

   Mr. Singleton was in the custody of the Alsip Police Dept as a result of an online relationship he had with a 14-year-old Alsip female via the Internet that subsequently resulted in Singleton traveling to Illinois for an encounter with the juvenile

   On 07/26/06 at approx 0700 hrs Detectives from the Computer Crime and Electronic Evidence Laboratory executed a residential search & seizure warrant at the accused’s residence 319 Marion Avenue in Plantsville, CT.

   Named in the warrant was computers and computer related materials.

   Detectives seized several computers and computer related materials from the Singletons residence.

   All evidence that was seized and transported to the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Lab for examination.

   This case remains under investigation.
