MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN NARCOTICS ARREST IN LEBANON
Early Wednesday morning, March 8th 2006, at 1:34 a.m. a one car motor vehicle accident was reported on Rt. 207 near the intersection of Club Road in the Town of Lebanon. State Troopers and emergency medical workers responded to the accident scene.
Upon their arrival State Troopers initiated a motor vehicle accident investigation as the EMS personnel tended to the injured operator and sole occupant of the crashed vehicle.
During the course of this investigation Troopers observed a plastic bag containing what appeared to be marijuana in the crashed vehicle. Troopers, utilizing a chemical analyze field testing device, tested the suspected marijuana and determined that it was indeed marijuana. The marijuana weighed approximately 1 ½ pounds. Troopers also discovered 50 tablets of Ecstasy and over $2000 in cash on the person of the operator who was placed under arrest for narcotics violations.
