Announcement: DEMHS Reminds Eligible Applicants of August 2, 2021 SBA Filing Deadline for Tropical Storm Isaias

The attached press release was released to the media today by the Small Business Administratio (SBA) reminding small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives, small businesses engaged in aquaculture, and most private nonprofit organizations in Connecticut that Aug. 2 is the filing deadline for federal economic injury disaster loans due to Tropical Storm Isaias and high winds on Aug. 4-5, 2020.

The loans are available in the following counties: Fairfield, Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, New London, Tolland and Windham in Connecticut.

Under this declaration, the SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program is available to eligible
farm-related and nonfarm-related entities that suffered financial losses as a direct result of this disaster.  Apart from aquaculture enterprises, SBA cannot provide disaster loans to agricultural producers, farmers, and ranchers.
