Privacy Policy

It is our policy to respect and protect the privacy expectations of our website users, consistent with applicable laws of the United States and the State of Connecticut, such as, but not limited to, the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act and the Connecticut Personal Data Act.  We do not use or disclose any information about our users without their knowledge.  Visitors should be aware, however, that the State of Connecticut and CHRO, as a state agency, could be required to disclose personal information of users in response to, but not limited to, valid legal process, court order, and requests pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act.  Disclosure may also be necessary to protect the State's legal rights or during emergencies if physical safety is believed to be at risk.  While these events are unlikely, they are possible.  Beyond the circumstances referenced herein, we do not use or disclose personal information regarding users without their knowledge and approval.
