(Hartford, CT) — The Connecticut Office of the Cannabis Ombudsman is encouraging patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and members of the public to engage with the state’s medical marijuana program by sharing feedback and learning more about ongoing efforts to improve patient care, research, and education.

The medical marijuana program plays a critical role in supporting Connecticut residents who rely on cannabis for medical treatment. By gathering patient experiences and program feedback, the Office of the Cannabis Ombudsman works to identify challenges, highlight successes, and inform policy recommendations that strengthen the program statewide.

“This initiative is about listening,” said Erin Gorman Kirk, Connecticut’s Cannabis Ombudsman. “Patient voices are essential to understanding how the program works in real life and where improvements are needed. Public engagement helps ensure the program remains compassionate, effective, and responsive.”

The Office invites individuals to:

  • Share experiences with the medical marijuana program
  • Learn about ongoing research and education efforts
  • Support improved access and care for patients
  • Help inform future policy and program enhancements

Information collected through public engagement helps guide outreach efforts, provider education, and research initiatives aimed at improving medical marijuana treatment options in Connecticut.

To learn more or to share feedback, visit the Connecticut Cannabis Ombudsman’s medical marijuana program page on CT.gov.
