Out-of-State Licensees and Telehealth

Notwithstanding the provisions of section 1 of public act 21-9 and section 19a-906 of the general statutes, prior to July 1, 2024, a person who is appropriately licensed as a social worker in another state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia may provide telehealth services to a resident of another state while such resident is in Connecticut, provided the social worker has a preexisting professional relationship with such resident.

There is no application or other notification to the Department while treating the person located in Connecticut.
