With support from the Environmental Protect Agency's (EPA) State Indoor Radon Grant, the Radon Program sponsors an annual State Radon Poster Contest. The goal of the contest is to raise awareness about lung cancer prevention, to educate about the harmful effects of elevated levels of indoor radon, and to encourage radon testing in all homes and reduction when high levels are found.

The first place entries for the poster contest and the video contest will be submitted to the National Contest, where the students may earn monetary prizes and national recognition.
