Please allow 1-2 business days for your exam results to be uploaded to the national database Refunds are not available.
- If you solely seek a PRODUCER license, refrain from taking the CERTIFIED INSURANCE CONSULTANT (CIC) license exam. It's crucial to distinguish between the Certified Insurance Consultant and Insurance Producer license types. The CIC exam does not qualify you for a Producer license.

Continuing Education (CE) Requirements for License Renewal
- Resident Insurance Producers licensed with Life, Accident & Health or Sickness, Property, Casualty or Personal Lines authority, must complete twenty-four (24) CE credits each renewal period.
- Make sure you have completed all requirements outlined on your transcript. The “status” must read “Compliant” for all categories.
- You may not “drop” or “remove” a line of authority – the authority held at the beginning of the current license period determines the CE requirement for that license period.
- If you have completed your CE course(s) and the information is not showing on your transcript, contact the vendor you took the course with directly.
The following individuals do not have a renewal CE requirement:
- Licensees that hold Credit Only or Limited Lines Travel Only authority
- Non-Residents
- Apply on the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR). Under Licensing Center, select “Add Line of Authority.”
- Note: If you need to amend your license and are within the renewal window (90 days prior to your license expiration date) you must renew the existing license prior to adding any new line of authority. If you try to add a new line of authority prior to renewing your license, the application will be rejected.
- To reinstate the license for up to one (1) year after expiration date, you will be required to complete the CE requirement (Resident ONLY) and pay a late fee of $160.00, for a total of $320.00. Apply by going to the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR). Under Licensing Center, select “Renew an Existing License.”
- After one (1) year, residents will be required to complete pre-licensing course and pass the exam, prior to submitting the reinstatement application. Apply by going to the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR). Under Licensing Center, select “Apply for a New License.”
